I Miss the Old Internet Days and Also Hello, This is My First Post
Let's bring back websites.
It's not like they went anywhere actually, but I miss the StumbleUpon days of the internet circa 2013. I loved clicking through, finding interesting pages, interesting blogs. Stumbling upon some random person's "corner of the internet."
This one is mine. Though I'm a web developer by trade so I must have one. It's like a carpenter not having a wood shop if I didn't. This specific site is super bare bones. Built only with Bun which I love. No javascript framework or anything. Just Tailwind, HTML, and some TypeScript. Bun makes this really easy. And then it's hosted on Railway. Another service which I love.
Even the posts, like this one. No markdown, no text editor, no saved post data. I literally write things in Notion, hand it to Cursor, and tell it to build an HTML page around it. It's incredible.
It's easier than ever to post.
So I'm gonna make this space my writing playground. I don't have much time to write. I have a toddler and I'm working at a startup and I'd like to hang out with my wife in between those two time consumers. So we'll see how often things get thrown up here.
But I'll do my best.
